The College is divided into two departments. The first is the Diploma Programmes Department, which deals with providing tuition for students wishing to undertake courses leading to awards by professional bodies. The second is the Degree Programmes Department, which deals with the degree programmes of University of London for External Students. The Principal of the College is in overall control of the administration and development of both departments. The Principal is assisted by the College Administrator, who heads the Diploma Programmes Department and by the Executive Director of Degree Programmes, who heads the Degree Programmes Department.

The College Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of student records, welfare matters, accommodation, transportation, opening bank accounts and registration with GPs for students in the Diploma Programmes Department, whilst the Executive Director of Degree Programmes has a similar responsibility for students in the Degree Programmes Department.

The Director of Studies in each of the Departments is responsible to the College Administrator and Executive Director respectively for all academic matters including the employment of lecturers, monitoring of their performance, maintaining standards appropriate to relevant professional bodies and the University of London, advising students about registration for membership of professional bodies and payment of examination fees.
