The University of London is a federation of colleges and institutes—some specialised, some multi-faculty and others are smaller specialist institutes.

London College of Business and Computer Studies commenced operations in 1984 and is recognised as efficient by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) for Independent Further and Higher Education.

The College is divided into two departments. The first is the Diploma Programmes Department, which deals with providing tuition for students wishing to undertake courses leading to awards by professional bodies. The second is the Degree Programmes Department, which deals with the degree programmes of University of London for External Students.
